The traveling Vietnam Memorial Wall came to Powhatan July 14th through the 17th. The Wall attracted over 5000 visitors from all over the region, and as far away as Pennsylvania!

Volunteers had been working for months to prepare for the Wall’s arrival. Larry was a member of the Committee, which was led by American Legion Post 201, of which he is a member.

It was a hot 4 days, but the opening & closing ceremonies went well, and the visitors had a meaningful & moving experience as they contemplated the over 58,000 names of those lost in the Vietnam War.

The event was one of the best in our community this year
